OGLE-2019-BLG-0304: Competing Interpretations between a Planet–binary Model and a Binary-source + Binary-lens Model

چکیده

We analyze the microlensing event OGLE-2019-BLG-0304, whose light curve exhibits two distinctive features: a deviation in peak region and second bump appearing ?61 days after main peak. Although binary-lens model can explain overall features, it leaves subtle but noticeable residuals region. find that be explained by presence of either planetary companion located close to primary binary lens (3L1S model) or an additional source (2L2S model). 3L1S is favored over 2L2S model, with ??2 ? 8, securely resolving degeneracy between models difficult currently available photometric data. According interpretation, system, which planet mass S-type orbit around composed stars masses . however, G- K-type giant low-mass M dwarf brown , respectively. The illustrates need for thorough testing interpretation lensing events complex features curves.

OGLE-2014-BLG-1112LB: A Microlensing Brown Dwarf Detected through the Channel of a Gravitational Binary-lens Event

Due to the nature of the gravitational field, microlensing, in principle, provides an important tool for detecting faint and even dark brown dwarfs. However, the number of identified brown dwarfs is limited due to the difficulty of the lens mass measurement that is needed to check the substellar nature of the lensing object. In this work, we report a microlensing brown dwarf discovered from an ...

The repeating microlensing event OGLE-2003-BLG-095: A plausible case of microlensing of a binary source

The apparently repeating microlensing event OGLE-2003-BLG-095 is analyzed. Data were obtained from the OGLE Internet archive and exist in the public domain. The source is relatively bright, with an unmagnified (but possibly blended) I-band magnitude of 15.58, and the signal-to-noise ratio of the data is excellent. The light curve shows two distinct, smooth peaks characteristic of a double micro...

A New Surface Tension Model for Prediction of Interaction Energy between Components and Activity Coefficients in Binary Systems

In this work, we develop a correlative model based on the surface tension data in order to calculate thermodynamic parameters, such as interaction energy between components (Uij), activity coefficients and etc. In the new approach, by using Li et al. (LWW) model, a three-parameter surface tension equation is derived for liquid mixtures. The surface tension data of 54 aqueous and 73 non-aqueous ...

A new binary model for university examination timetabling: a case study

Examination timetabling problem (ETP) is one of the most important issues in universities. An improper timetable may result in students' dissatisfaction as it may not let them study enough between two sequential exams. In addition, the many exams to be scheduled, the large number of students who have taken different courses, the limited number of rooms, and some constraints su...

A Nonextensive Electrolyte UNIQUAC Model for Prediction of Mean Activity Coefficients of Binary Electrolyte Solutions

In this work, an electrolyte-UNIQUAC model was developed by replacement of Boltzmann weight binary interaction parameters by the nonextensive Tsallis weight. A summation of the long-range electrostatic term (Debye-Huckel equation) and a short-range interaction term were considered in the calculation of thermodynamic properties. A framework proposed by Chen and co-workers was employed for the de...
